Disdain for the Feminine Is Not OK

Feminine Based Leadership

feminine-basedleadership

I’m on the road again, having just completed another chapter of the Heroine’s Journey Road Trip & Quest, the Massachusetts Library Book Tour in our Gaia RV.

Yesterday, George and I were driving through Northeastern Pennsylvania, deep into the Pocono mountain’s majestic woods and the Delaware meandering river, when we passed a political sign.

Actually it was more like a billboard—a cut-out of Hillary bigger than lifesize with the slogan “Jail Her”!

My already tender heart constricted again when I saw it—for me and for you.

Is female leadership really to be bashed, trampled on, abused, and then incarcerated? My female wrath rumbles, a Kali like dance of fury, “STOP”!

Our new President Elect and a great number of Americans (although not the majority) support the name-calling of women, treat them as if they are sex objects, threaten HRC with investigations and, in his new elected position, is only getting bigger and more powerful.

So the question is: What happens to the female principles of inclusion, nurturance and love?

We get stronger. We feel for the Earth beneath our feet and hear her cry for our attention, care and love. We bless our gifts and show gratitude for all the joys in our lives. We step out into this darker world to bring the message of the feminine which are essential to transform the hate, fear and divisiveness.

We carry through with our daily actions and envision a brighter future. Each time we see a positive step that honors the feminine we shout out.

If you’ve been to my talks or read my blogs, you know that both men and women share feminine attributes and can be leaders in their families, communities and the world to support and honor our planet and its resources, not rape her for profit, and treat all people with love and generosity, not close borders and dismiss other nationalities, LBGTQ, and women.

The patriarchy is not dead (how wrong was I?). Instead we have a new era, a movement birthing to be heard and gaining momentum. It’s a movement focused on what MUST BE: Wellbeing for ALL.

There is so much that remains in question this week, and likely will for weeks to come. But of that, I am certain.

Feminine based leadership for all!

Let’s organize!
